For one week, the Upper Austrian capital will become the centre of inclusive art in Austria and presents exceptional international and domestic art for people with and without disabilities to a broad public. The programme under the festival motto GROSS GEMUSTERT focuses primarily on Austrian productions and ensembles in order to document the development of the Austrian inclusive cultural scene. Numerous world premieres and projects created especially for the festival will provide an insight into the current state of artistic debate. For the first time, the Austria-wide interest group Music and Inclusion (igmi) will meet during the festival week for a 2-day symposium in Linz to discuss current developments in this field and to identify new approaches. The impetus provided by the festival will be deepened and expanded in local inclusive cultural work in order to achieve an ever-increasing professionalisation of the work of artists with disabilities in the longer term.
