Straight out of school, four 18-year-olds developed their favourite project: Cinema Talks was born. It was intended to fill a gap in Graz’s cultural landscape – with international short films, young art from Graz and poetry slams. The cultural policy situation in Styria, massive funding cuts and a lack of financial support make it impossible to continue the festival. But before it goes, it’s going to get loud again! Cinema Talks 2025 will be the grand finale – with all the energy, love and madness that have always characterized this festival.
