The year 2025 marks two special anniversaries: 100 years of Leica since the launch of the legendary Leica I, and 10 years of the Leica Gallery Salzburg at its new location in Parsch. To mark the occasion, the gallery is presenting a high-calibre series of exhibitions with works by international and Austrian Leica photographers. The exhibition ‘The moment takes the picture’ is the second of a total of four anniversary exhibitions in this special year. Ten outstanding artists were selected from 95 impressive submissions – an exciting mix of established professionals and ambitious talents. The exhibition offers a broad spectrum of genres: from captivating travel reports and precise architectural photography to expressive portraits that tell stories.
