The exhibition Orpheus, curated by Arina Nekliudova, shows an ongoing project by Alexey Dubinsky. The theme is historical cyclicality from the perspective of the current geopolitical situation and the artist’s childhood experiences during the Chechen war. By superimposing personal memories, photographic documentation and cultural symbols, Dubinsky creates surreal scenes in which historical and mythological figures merge into new, somewhat absurd constellations.
