Whether precisely pressed or in a casual baggy look – they are a global phenomenon and seemingly familiar to us all. They are a symbol of cultural and social identity and the material for fashion statements: trousers. In a major special exhibition from 25 March 2025, the Weltmuseum Wien is taking a journey through 3,000 years of trouser history from all over the world, from the oldest types of trousers from the Bronze Age to the present day.
