The HUMAN VISION film festival is a platform for social discourse, critical reflection and exchange on human rights. Films, talks and supporting programmes shed light on topics that shape the present and invite people to ask questions, question perspectives and gain new food for thought.
This year’s festival is dedicated to the focus on ‘Regression & Progress’ – an area of tension that is deeply rooted in our history, society and politics. Progress rarely happens without resistance, and it is often only in retrospect that we realise what developments were necessary to make change possible. Setbacks can paralyse, but they can also be starting points for resistance, renewal and new paths. They challenge us to rethink existing structures, make injustices visible and develop new solutions. The films and programme items at this year’s festival are about this balancing act: about crises that trigger change, about losses that lead to reorientation, about people who rebel against stagnation and fight for their future. Some stories tell of setbacks, others of courageous visions. But they all raise the question: What does it take to turn regression into progress?
The HUMAN VISION film festival 2025 invites you to confront these questions together, to be inspired and to discover new perspectives. We look forward to moving films, enriching discussions and a festival that inspires reflection and action.
