The textile design class at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design presents the dazzling spectrum of current creative textile positions with six outstanding individual works and a collective textile sculpture. Formal-aesthetic, social and personal issues are discussed by means of different textile construction techniques, material qualities, types of finishing, colours and forms in the material and made tangible in a graceful way. The projects, textiles and textile objects presented negotiate the handling of them on the body or in space in a variety of expressions, thus enabling visitors to immerse themselves completely in the wonderful world of textiles.
