We all go to the hairdresser sometimes more, sometimes less often. The hairdresser is not only a service provider, but also a social meeting place, a place to meet, to transform, to relax, to try things out, to start afresh, to be intimate, a place for Prosecco and coffee. Everyone is welcome. The millionaire sits next to the student. The student sits next to the actor. The actress sits next to the politician. The politician sits next to the grandma. The grandad sits next to the sexist. The sexist sits next to the housewife. The househusband sits next to the baker. The baker sits next to the young man in the wheelchair. The woman with a disability sits next to her mum … Scissors, a comb and creativity are supposed to boost self-esteem! But what if that doesn’t work? In the inclusive co-production of the LebensGroß Theaterakademie and the Mezzanin Theater ‘Stories from the Hairdressing Salon’, the premises of the theatre in the station are transformed into a crazy hairdressing salon. The concepts of beauty, physicality, disability and disability are explored in a fun, critical way, beauty, physicality, disability and work are negotiated in a fun, critical way in an atmosphere that is familiar to everyone.
