After the Lentos Art Museum, Bildraum Bodensee is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the renowned Kardinal König Art Prize with an exhibition presenting new works by previous prizewinners. The exhibition, which has been taken over by Lentos, includes spectacular new works by the ten previous prizewinners. The prize, which has been awarded by the Archdiocese of Salzburg by a jury every two years since 2004, honours young artists who are based in Austria and whose work is of supra-regional significance and has a promising future. In the exhibition curated by Brigitte Reutner-Doneus, the artists and their works also represent a current chapter in the general history of contemporary art with the special history of the prize. They thus demonstrate the charisma and significance of this prize far beyond its own institutional framework. Artists: Kerstin von Gabain, Julia Haller, Kathi Hofer, Nika Kupyrova, Angelika Loderer, Marko Lulić, Christian Kosmas Mayer, Michèle Pagel, Hans Schabus, Nicole Six and Paul Petritsch.
