The Kunsthalle Wien Prize aims to support emerging artists living and working in Vienna and to promote discourse on contemporary art as part of an annual collaboration with the two Viennese art universities. The prize, awarded jointly by Kunsthalle Wien, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the University of Applied Arts Vienna, is presented by a jury of experts to one graduate from each of the two art universities. The aim of the prize, now in its tenth year, is to support graduates shortly after graduation and build a bridge between their studies and their professional artistic careers, as well as to present the work of these artists to a wide audience. The two prizewinners Rawan Almukhtar (Academy of Fine Arts Vienna) and Ida Kammerloch (University of Applied Arts Vienna) will be presented in a joint exhibition at Kunsthalle Wien.
