Michaela Kessler’s works deal with the boundaries of physicality and socially constructed role models. She works in drawings, with blue biros, from medium to large format, and on paper and textiles. Physical utopias expand the space. Biros strokes grow into blue fabric and take root. In the drawing process, change is exhausted and reassembled. Different (body) scenarios, relationships and emotional interpretations emerge. Impossible bodies take their place. They pave the way to worlds that do not yet exist. Carmelita runs over Trude with her rolling belly. Kimaer remains static and sits on Glotte. Tome only loves Bounty.
