A public letter forms the occasion; the Forum Stadtpark sent a letter to the Graz ÖVP and KPÖ. The regional parties responded to the demand formulated in the letter and nominated people to defend capitalist and communist ideology at a political show. The interest of the city’s population is – unsurprisingly – very high. After all, the KPÖ has been in power here for almost three years, after the ÖVP had been mayor for a long time. The ideological-philosophical fundamental dispute between communism and capitalism has thus long been reflected in the political landscape of Graz. Now it’s time to get down to business in public: the Forum Stadtpark will become an arena that offers the dispute over the better ideology the space it deserves. The Graz People’s Party is sending Thomas Krautzer and Manfred Prisching into the competition. Team Communism consists of Lisa Mittendrein and the physician Hans Peter Meister. The jury that will judge the performance of the two teams has also already been decided: Isolde Charim, Ekaterina Degot and Ilija Trojanow will give their judgements. The competition will be hosted by Austrian actress and director Pia Hierzegger.
