The canvas in the works of Linz-based artist Adelheid Rumetshofer is a calm field of tension in which space and surface, based on colour, continuously explore their mutual dependencies. The artist is showing new works in the exhibition. In the works on display, colour, as a determining factor in the media of painting, advances to become a carrier of meaning in terms of both form and content, without explicitly defining a semiotic meaning.
