For the first time in the history of the FLATZ Museum, a photo artist is occupying the entire exhibition space: Christian Anwander, who comes from Vorarlberg and lives in New York. This means that a broad spectrum of his oeuvre can be shown for the first time. On the one hand, the Vorarlberg-born artist will be showing commercially commissioned works that primarily depict the prominent American world of glitz and glamour. On the other hand, personal works are shown that go beyond landscapes, images of different milieus and intimate insights into people on the margins of society and are presented in a kind of storytelling. The exhibition gives the impression that worlds are colliding that could not be more contradictory and yet form a great whole. A kind of interplay creates a dynamic between appearance and reality.
