The artists in the exhibition curated by Alexander Koch tell stories. What they see, and how they see it, in the world in which they live. They invite you to experience, reflect and engage with them. Their stories are personal, thematic and stylistic. They are not objective representations of reality, but are characterised by their own perceptions, impressions and experiences, values, desires, ambitions and fears. And also by ideas, allegories and fantasies. Daniel Richter and his formal students shown in this exhibition (Donya Aalipour, Adrian Buschmann, Alfred Rottensteiner, Katarina Spielmann and Nazim Ü Yilmaz) initiate a global discourse on fundamental existential questions: How does individuality develop, how fluid and diverse are identities? How do people relate to nature? How is domination established? With what benefits and with what collateral damage is peaceful coexistence possible? How inclusive do we want to be as a society? What is desirable, what is true, good and beautiful?
