For more than three decades, it has been a fixture for mountain sports and adventure enthusiasts – the Mountainfilm Festival. It has been hosted and organized by Hans-Robert Schauer, himself a former high-altitude mountaineer and cameraman, since the very beginning. In 2024, the festival will once again offer numerous highlights; the overall package includes 94 films and multimedia presentations by Alexander Huber and Simon Messner as well as a supporting programme of stage talks, presentations and premiere celebrations. A total of 65 hours of films in four categories invite you into the cinemas, plus an exquisite supporting programme. The Schubertkino is the first stop on the five days of the event and offers exciting films as well as interviews and on-stage discussions around the screenings.
