bookolino, the literature festival for young audiences at the Literaturhaus Graz, is once again aiming to inspire children to read. A colourful potpourri of readings and workshops for school classes will be offered to the young audience with Katja Alves, Marion Brasch, Hans Christian Andersen Prize winner Heinz Janisch, Andrea Karimé, Torben Kuhlmann, Philipp Löhle, Willy Puchner, Eva Roth, and the Austrian Children’s and Youth Book Prize winners Michael Hammerschmid, Petra Piuk and Gemma Palacio, among others. There is a programme for the whole family on the weekends: families can immerse themselves in the world of stories and ideas at storytelling and drawing workshops, picture book cinema and theatre. The book and hands-on exhibition ‘The Materials of Writing: From Idea to Expression’ with the cooperation partners FRida & freD, bookoBörse & bookoLaden rounds off the programme.
