‘Dancing through life’ is an attitude that is inextricably linked to Carola Dertnig’s artistic work. She has had a decisive influence on performative art in Austria – both in the performance itself and through the transfer of the performative to other media such as painting, film, textile art, sculpture and language. Her works are feminist and critical, but also humorous and sensual. She is developing a new project for the experimental platform Generator.
