CREATIVE WEEK AUSTRIA has set itself the goal of focussing on the diversity of the creative industries and the services they offer. As part of the event, the broad spectrum of the Austrian creative industries is brought to the fore in all its diversity and made visible through various formats such as Creative Nights, workshops and lectures. The main actors and protagonists are the agencies and their employees, the studios and ateliers, the co-working spaces, the laboratories of creativity. Under the title ‘WE ARE OPEN’, the CREATIVE NIGHT GRAZ will take place on 11 October, offering all visitors a deep insight into the working world of creativity and the diversity of the creative industries. Designers will open their doors and give visitors a glimpse into their studios and agencies. They will introduce themselves and their companies, provide insights into their work and answer visitors’ questions. Another highlight of this year’s CREATIVE WEEK is the exhibition From Hokkaido with Love – Furniture Design by CondeHouse. On the initiative of Tischlerei Prödl, Designforum Steiermark will be showing a selection of CondeHouse’s most iconic pieces, which deliberately reject fleeting design trends and instead emphasize the timeless beauty of natural wood grain.
