The tanz_house Festival 2024 is here and once again it is a celebration of creativity. But not only that – it is also a celebration of Salzburg’s dance scene and its many up-and-coming artists. The 2024 festival also invites people to join together in the search for new perspectives, creating a space for attention, exchange and reflection. The artists revolutionize the space, try out new ways of performing on stage, and search for new narratives and perspectives. They strive to find unknown artistic paths and forms of expression – defying not only gravity, but also existing infrastructures and geopolitical decisions. The way the audience observes the action reflects this approach: sometimes from below, sometimes from the street, sometimes in a closed cube or from any position in a circle surrounding the performance. With works by Nayana Keshava Bhat/INFLUX, editta braun company, CieLAROQUE/Helene Weinzierl, Martin Kilvady, Hungry Sharks Company, Ceren Oran & Moving Borders, Tomaž Simatović & András Meszerics, Cie BitterSweet/Perle Cayron, Azahara Sanz Jara, Sara Lanner, Julia Schwarzbach, Tanzschmiede/Fucinadanza and with musical contributions from András Meszerics/BANDI and Clube do Samba Viena.
