To mark the 20th anniversary of the Cardinal König Art Prize, the exhibition presents works by previous prizewinners. The prize, which has been awarded by the Archdiocese of Salzburg by a jury every two years since 2004, honours younger artists who have their centre of life in Austria and have a nationally significant and seminal body of work. In the exhibition, the artists and their works also represent a current chapter in the general history of contemporary art with the special history of the prize. In doing so, they are demonstrating the charisma and significance of this prize far beyond its own institutional framework. Artists: Kerstin von Gabain, Julia Haller, Kathi Hofer, Nika Kupyrova, Angelika Loderer, Marko Lulić, Christian Kosmas Mayer, Michèle Pagel, Hans Schabus, Nicole Six and Paul Petritsch.
