Going beyond the motif of the child, the exhibition is dedicated to children’s worlds from an artistic perspective, in collaboration with artists and young children. The perception and world-views of young children hardly play a role in contemporary art – which is astonishing, because nowhere else can you take such a fascinating look at beginnings: the exploration of the world even before language, thinking in images, the creation of playful worlds of their own, the formation of moral convictions and socialisation in a social environment, and much more … This is a kind of exotic world that is very close at hand and can provide answers to important questions, such as how to orientate oneself in the completely unknown, or how to explore spaces and facts free of all attributions.
