Since its foundation in 2009, the festival has developed into a central event for contemporary art in Austria. Curated by, which brings together established and young galleries, presents contemporary positions selected by international curators on an overarching theme every year. Once again, all participating galleries have chosen the title and theme democratically. The openings in all 24 galleries will take place on 13 and 14 September from 12 to 7 pm. For one month, Curated by offers a broad programme of contemporary art in Vienna: with numerous openings, panel discussions, performances, lectures and guided tours. In 2024, the physical engagement with works of art will once again be at the centre of the festival.
