Children can once again attend workshops, seminars and lectures at all participating universities: the University of Vienna, TU Wien, the Medical University of Vienna, BOKU Vienna, WU Vienna, the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna and FH Campus Wien.
The 2024 focus areas: Participation – Focus on forests – Shaping a good world together Climate, Energy & Environment – Discovering the Future – Business Professionals – Linguistic Diversity.
In keeping with this, Sophie Lecheler, communication scientist at the University of Vienna, will address the question of what TikTok has to do with politics in her opening lecture.
Under the label “Shaping a good world together”, children will focus on justice, human rights and sustainability as part of a programme organized by the Austrian Development Agency. And this year, of course, the topics of climate/energy and the environment are not to be missed – supported by the Climate and Energy Fund.
The most important rule at the Vienna Children’s University is: exams are strictly forbidden – including entrance exams! ALL children between the ages of 7 and 12 are invited to take part. In addition to German-language courses, lessons are also taught in English, Italian, Bulgarian, Chinese and sign language.
The only requirement for participation is online registration.
