Nikima Jagudajev’s ongoing live project utilizes an exhibition format that is simultaneously a hybrid production space, residency space and school yard – an environment in which to try things out and perform. Jagudajev’s process-based and collaborative practice is dedicated to the forms of the social – social relationships as spatial conditions and the question of how it is possible to come together in a fulfilling and considerate way. Jagudajev refers to this approach as “re-schooling”, i.e. going to school again, as well as meeting and sharing affection. A reconstruction of what many of us – some more than others – were deprived of as children: the laughter that fills the corridors between the classrooms, decorated lockers, secrets passed under the benches. “Re-schooling” needs the participation of many artistically active people who meet with their most passionate selves, weave the threads of relationships and build strong connections with themselves and others.
