Around 60 short films from 17 countries were selected from over 1300 submissions to be shown in front of and in the Remise (in the Stadtsaal in case of rain) in Bludenz at Alpinale 2024. Filmmakers will also give a personal insight into their work at film talks.
During the festival, an international jury will focus on the short feature film and animation categories, while a second jury will award the “bloody” Golden Unicorn in the “Horror” category and select the best “VR” film and the best Vorarlberg film production.
The Alpinale will open with the Turkish short film “THINGS UNHEARD OF”, which tells the story of a girl who tries to see her grandmother smile again. The evening continues with the Portuguese animated film “A TINY NUMBER”, which shows the escape of two prisoners through a forest.
