To give top young musicians a stage, to promote dialogue and to allow visitors to share in the joy of playing and virtuosity: To this end, the classical setting is sometimes abandoned and the small Bregenzerwald village of Krumbach is turned into a large stage – performances take place on the village square, in the parish hall, in the church, in the fields and meadows. Klassik Krumbach continues with the tried and tested basic idea under new management – Wolfgang Bilgeri.
The village acts as an unusual, even unconventional stage for the skills of talented young artists far removed from the classical framework. Krumbach offers young musicians the opportunity to engage in intensive dialogue far away from the usual conventions.
The programme for Klassik Krumbach 2024 also features the internationally renowned exceptional talent, the young conductor and designated music director of the Milan Symphony Orchestra, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian.
Together they came up with something new for Klassik Krumbach. Young, but already well-known musicians are brought together in completely new formations.
This year, you can hear and see the following at Klassik Krumbach 2024: Café Fuerte with the newly founded Vorderbregenzerwald wind orchestra, the V-Töne woodwind quintet with Julia Ruthensteiner-Schwarz, young chamber musicians with Vorarlberg-Wien-Connection and the Vorderbregenzerwald wind orchestra with the V-Töne and across borders with Camerata Musica Reno.
