With the 2024 award winners’ exhibition, the PowerTower Upper Austria is once again dedicated to art. Once again this year, an impressive exhibition of the award winners will be presented. The theme of this year’s competition was “reboot”; it called on the artists to present innovative approaches and fresh perspectives.
The winners from four categories are presented and supplemented with an established artist’s position: Beate Gatschelhofer received the Talent Award for her ceramic objects, Hess Jeon, Maria Orciuoli, Sara Piñero Cortés, Błażej Kotowski and Sara Koniarek are the winners of the Dream Scholarship and have travelled to Austrian lakes and drawn artistic inspiration from them. Michaela Kessler received the Klemens Brosch Prize for her large-format and highly detailed drawing. Ziller & Naderi’s winning project is the fence intervention “Kunstrauschen” in Gmunden.
Anna Jermolaewa was invited this year as an established artist. The professor of experimental design at the Linz University of Art will be exhibiting in the Austrian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2024 and is one of the most important contemporary artists. Photographs from the “Found Objects” series can be seen in the exhibition.
