The dance festival tanz ist celebrates its 30th anniversary and invites you to performance nights with international and non-mainstream dance and performance art at Spielboden in Dornbirn. The festival will be opened by Liquid Loft & Bulbul with living in funny eternity _ L.I.F.E, a production staged for the Vienna Burgtheater. On the opening evening of the festival, AIKO Kazuko Kurosaki will present her outdoor performance Why?, in which she thematises war as the ultimate act of violence and global suicide. An urgent, danced appeal for peace. Another item on the programme is the guest performance by the Grande Dame of Canadian dance – Mélanie Demers. She will perform the solo Confession Publique, conceived for the singer, dancer and performer Angélique Willkie Further highlights: the Austrian premiere of the production LORE with the British master choreographer James Wilton. The Belgian artist duo Demestri & Lefeuvre present their latest work Troisième Nature and describe the randomness of forms and the phenomenon of pareidolia.
