EUROPAN is Europe’s largest competition for architecture and urbanism for architects, urban and landscape planners under the age of 40. It offers young professionals a forum to present their ideas for current planning challenges.
For the second time, EUROPAN17 is focussing on the topic of “Living Cities” and is focusing on the aspect of care. EUROPAN understands care as the endeavour to create a good basis for every life on our planet. It is the responsibility of planners and decision-makers to develop integrative strategies for a just and caring coexistence.
A total of 51 cities from 11 different European countries took part in this round and presented a competition site.
The exhibition at the HDA shows the nominations (Runner-up, Special Mention and Shortlist) and winners from all four locations in Austria and Slovenia.
