The group exhibition “Mythos Normal: Chronic Contradictions”, programmed and curated by Mirela Baciak, was conceived in collaboration with the Kunstverein Hannover and is linked to its twin exhibition “Mythos Normal: Vom Können und Gönnen”. Both exhibitions examine the standards of ‘normality’ in relation to health and social expectations, inspired by the findings of Dr Gabor Maté, a renowned expert in the study of trauma.
Complementing the exhibition, the performance series “When the body says yes”, co-produced by the two art associations, explores the facets of the human body’s capabilities.
Artists: Cat Chong, Jeamin Cha, Itamar Gov, Anastasia Sosunova, Imogen Stidworthy and Julia Zöhrer and with performances by Benoît Piéron and Perel.
