For almost 20 years now, it has been presenting an international, high-quality, cross-genre, diverse and extraordinary arts and culture programme for children and young people every two years. This year, spleen*graz is celebrating its anniversary: the 10th edition of the theatre festival for young audiences is an opportunity to pause for a moment, look back, develop new ideas and projects – and then get down to business. With lots of theatre from all ends and corners of Europe, with music, dance, with drums and trumpets.
In this anniversary edition, young artists from Graz, Vienna, Bremen, Frankfurt and North Rhine-Westphalia can once again be actively experienced. They will be creating utopias, exploring contradictions, forming group (identities) and building light and airy bridges between generations.
But of course the big, established names in children’s and youth theatre will be on show again this year. They are coming to Graz from Great Britain, Japan, France, Belgium, Sweden, Germany, Austria and Switzerland to enchant audiences.
