In “Planettoo”, Austrian artist Anna Meyer takes a critical, decidedly feminist, humorous but also painful look at Austrian mountain landscapes with a selection of her paintings.
After all, these are the areas where the climate crisis is clearly evident. In strong colours and with virtuoso brushstrokes, Meyer creates precise, almost realistic paintings of Alpine landscapes that only reveal the acute ecological threat and the artist’s feminist critique at second glance. Starting from a condensed presentation in the MQ Pop-Up Schauraum, the paintings branch out into the corridors of the MQ Schauräume right up to the main entrance of the MuseumsQuartier by means of coloured adhesive strips, conquering space and at the same time leading visitors directly into the paintings.
