With “THROUGH HER LENS – All Eyes on Women Photographers”, the Leica Gallery Salzburg is presenting a continuous annual theme for the first time.
The project spans the entire exhibition year and highlights the works of international greats as well as promising local “up-and-coming talents”.
It starts with the works of 4 female photographers who have received or been nominated for the prestigious Leica Oskar Barnack Award. With their photographic stories, Ana María Arévalo Gosen, Laetitia Vancon, Nanna Heitmann and Rania Matar kick off an annual exhibition that celebrates the diversity of female photographic art.
Later in the year, the series will continue with two internationally renowned female photographers: Herlinde Kölbl and Donata Wenders.
This will be followed by a group exhibition of two “up-and-coming talents” from Salzburg on the subject of nude and fashion photography. The atmospheric still lifes by Vera Mercer will conclude the exhibition.
