The aim of the art prize, which has been in existence for 40 years, was and still is to revitalize the regional cultural scene and promote established and young positions. A panel of experts selects the winner from the numerous submissions by artists with a connection to Vorarlberg, and adds up to ten acquisitions to the bank’s art collection. To mark the anniversary, the current award winners will be on display for the first time in the atrium of the vorarlberg museum, alongside all the previously honoured works.
