Zenita Komad’s art has an unwavering “message” like almost no other. This is what makes the artist, who has lived in southern Carinthia since 2019 after years of living in Israel, so distinctive.
Zenita Komad’s work from the last few decades will be comprehensively presented in an extensive double exhibition at the MMKK (Museum of Modern Art Carinthia) and the KULTUM Graz.
The Graz exhibition, which consists mainly of completely new works, is dedicated to the comprehensive theme of peace in view of the current world situation.
Messianic peace finds its poetic visual power in pictorial works, as does an ancestral gallery of women and men from world history, from Bertha von Suttner to Gandhi, which Komad literally networks with visitors in a “peace office”. Object images and graphics with strong text-image contrasts complete the show.
