Words are strung together to capture the framework that gives the object its narrative. Sections of questions that arise when locating, longing backwards, looking forwards – the attempt to stumble without falling. How do the parts that attempt to form a whole fit together? In the exhibition with the pragmatism of a double stitch, Beate Gatschelhofer – with a text on the exhibition by Barbara Horvath – shows large-format ceramic sculptures as well as lyrical text fragments, material and linguistic constructs in correlation, poetic transcriptions that make questions of identity and location their own and open up dialogues between material and language
