In times of multiple crises and bad news, which we are bombarded with on a daily basis and feel increasingly helpless in the face of, many people long for simplification, for slowing down, for a life in harmony with their environment and – “nature”.
But is this even possible? What is nature today, how do we move in it, what kind of alienation, longing and rapprochement do we feel?
The exhibition shows approaches to the topic of nature in many facets. On the one hand, facts of insecurity and fears are taken up and artistically processed, on the other hand, the “good old” observation of nature still functions as a means of artistic confrontation with the self. The narrowing of the living space for all is becoming increasingly tangible and is a breeding ground for dreams, utopias and dystopias.
