As part of the annual “16 Days Against Violence” campaign, the Austrian Cultural Forum is showing the exhibition “Generation Beta” by Austrian artist Franzi Kreis in cooperation with Kunstraum Dreiviertel.
For the project, people from Bern and Vienna have told the artist the life stories of their mothers. Within seconds, you can immerse yourself in the depths of their life stories via photographs and headphones.
Franzi Kreis attracted attention from Vienna to Rome with the exhibitions “Finding Motherland” and “Father Earth”. The young artist works with the medium of photography, audio and film and lives in Vienna. Franzi Kreis is part of the BMEIA women’s promotion programme “Calliope. join the dots”, which aims to make the achievements of Austrian and Austrian-based female artists and scientists visible.
