How do personal experiences intersect with the official narrative of the city? Which stories remain untold?
In the Community Gallery, the Wien Museum invites residents of the city to make their concerns and perspectives visible. It is intended to be a space for encounters and exchange, where learning from and with each other takes centre stage.
The first project was created together with a colourful group of 11 women.
In a follow-up project, the focus will be on objects taken from everyday life. They are linked to stories that represent individual lives. By including these objects in the museum’s collection, they will become authors of the material history of the city.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of events focussing on exchange.
