Wintertime in Salzburg means winter festival every year – and this year is no exception. A total of 69 performances are on the programme over 33 days. Contemporary circus art is presented.
The performances of the largest festival of its kind in the German-speaking world take place in the tent city in the Volksgarten, in the SZENE Salzburg and in the TOIHAUS theatre. The four international companies Circus Cirkör (Sweden), The 7 Fingers (Canada), Cirque La Compagnie “Pandax” (France, Switzerland), “Circo Zoé” (France, Italy) take the audience into fantastic atmospheric worlds. The Austrian circus scene is also represented again with CIRCUS ViSiON. After almost 10 years, the Spiegelzelt is once again part of the Winter Festival as a stage for a varied concert programme.
