Once again, international artists enchant Linz at the annual Linzer Klangwolke. Between Lentos and Brucknerhaus, the Danube Park is transformed into a gigantic performance space and has become the city’s flagship.
This year, director Francesca Zambello and assistant director/choreographer Eric Sean Fogel created Odyssey. A Journey Through Worlds, which describes the journey of a little girl on the river of life, the only one to survive an apocalyptic catastrophe. The internationally renowned Austrian lighting designer Manfred Nikitser (Scorpions, among others) created the design for the huge, approximately 1,000 × 600 metre performance area, which includes three barges on the Danube and a stage on land.
