Stepping stone biotopes for Salzburg’s youth. Under the motto “Salzburg is Wyld!”, the festival once again offers a great line-up despite the sharp headwind. The festival will be opened by DJ Karotte, Mark Mechanik and Reindl & Benscho and offers young people and the young at heart a cheap and decentralized range of cultural activities in the summer. With DJ sessions and live concerts, vernissages and workshops, 5020 offers youth culture a broad stage.
At the heart of 5020 are the various unique locations and range from the airport terrace to Mirabell Palace to the Baroque Museum. Other new locations at 5020 will be Lepi, Volksi and, to top it off, Heizkraftwerk Mitte. The heart of the festival are the numerous free outdoor events.
The grand finale and at the same time the highlight of this year’s festival is provided by the techno band Booka Shade live in front of the spectacular backdrop of the Mitte thermal power station.
