The exhibition “Home of Great Daughters” tells of actors who did not want to be satisfied with apparently fixed borders and thus made progress and knocked clichés off their pedestals.
A phone call to the Federal Chancellor in the 1970s paved the way for married women to be able to decide for themselves whether to work. Fifty years later, 24-hour caregivers are fighting to make their work in private spaces publicly visible.
The commitment and contradiction of women characterizes the present and shows which strategies can change gender relations. The exhibition presented in the Linzer Zimmer commemorates this commitment.
