Magazines, zines and comics – a platform for feminist and queer perspectives in art and popular culture.
The spectrum ranges from magazines from the second wave of the women’s movement, which thought of art and politics together; she goes beyond alternative forms of self-publishing and zine culture, which reach an emancipatory and empowering attitude via the principle of do-it-yourself; and last but not least, it includes publication projects that draw cross-connections to questions of migration, postcolonialism, dis/ability, etc.
The exhibition is developed and realized in cooperation with students from the Paris Lodron University Salzburg and the University Mozarteum Salzburg.
