Hope and Human Rights on the Big Screen: Feature films, documentaries and short films tell the story of human rights around the globe. Short, long, experimental, documentary and narrative – it’s about freedom and the preservation of the environment, in Finland as well as in Myanmar, Peru, Honduras or Brazil or in the Lobau in Austria.
The programme is divided into five thematic priorities: international trouble spots, the environment and migration, anti-Semitism, gender rights and the realities of work. Heavy topics, but nevertheless they often exude a playful lightness.
One of the highlights of the festival are also the Iranian films, all of which deal with the position of young Iranian women in their homeland.
Seeing and – hopefully – understand inghuman rights.
