The exhibition shows a retrospective of the work of Günter Brus, one of the most important representatives of Austrian action art. The exhibition also leads chronologically through his work.

The works of Günter Brus were provided from the private collection of the THP Private Foundation, which has been able to build up an extensive collection of the artist over the last decades. It ranges from Günter Brus’ first watercolours from the late 1950s to the latest works from the corona lockdown in 2020.

The Styrian artist Günter Brus himself described each of his exhibitions in galleries and museums as “Herzeigung/Showing”, for which he has also designed his own invitation drawings since 1975.

Roman Grabner curated what is probably the most extensive collection on the work of Günter Brus. The retrospective shows works starting from the 50s and ending with works from 2020.
