The state of Upper Austria has been continuously building up an art collection of contemporary artists from Upper Austria since 1947.
Every year, works by predominantly younger Upper Austrian artists are purchased. On the one hand, this supports these artists. On the other hand, what is probably the most extensive collection of Upper Austrian contemporary art has been built up over the decades.
In this year’s summer exhibition, the acquisitions of 2021 will be presented.
From autumn, many of these works can also be borrowed from the Upper Austrian ARTOTHEK.
