Tutti Frutti in the Linz music pavilion: from hip hop to brass band music. From singer-songwriter indie pop to jazz rock.
The Music Pavilion in Linz’s Donaupark has been in Linz in the summer for many years for those who are interested in music. The program covers a wide range of genres.
To make it easier for friends of the different styles of music to find their way around, individual days of the week have specific genre focuses. Wednesday is dedicated to “Acoustic Qlash” programs. “Women in Jazz” are presented on Thursdays. And Fridays are reserved for indie pop and singer-songwriters.
The versatile drummer and filmmaker David Ruhmer from Linz likes to present himself in “Western Style” (12.08.) The sound of the jazz trio mg3 with Martin Gasselsberger, piano, Roland Kramer, double bass and Gerald Endstrasser, drums is characterized by soul-jazzy driving rhythms and sensitive musical interaction (14.08.)
And friends of brass music: The Linzer Bundesbahn Brass Orchestra will also play (11.08.)! As George Bernhard Shaw already knew: “The harmful thing about brass instruments lies in the fact that they strengthen the lungs and thus prolong the life of the musicians.” Under these conditions, we therefore learn: The open air in the Donaupark will probably last forever.
