Art and life – a concept?
Stano Filko is considered one of the most important representatives of Slovak artists of the 20th century. A comprehensive retrospective can now be seen at the Halle für Kunst in Graz.
Stano Filko’s art can be classified as conceptual art. In the 1960s Filko began to conceptualize installations, pneumatic sculptures and utopian architectures. He found his artistic expression in happenings and actions in public spaces. His ouevre includes the artistic movements Fluxus, Nouveaux Realisme, Dada and Pop Art.
In the exhibition his work is shown excerpts from all periods – thematically and periodically oriented.
